Since I had one of these units & tend to travel a lot, I went with a portable mapping for this Xone: K2.X One 2 Manual
Xone:K2 is a compact designed MIDI Controller for use with any DJ software such as Ableton, Virtual DJ, MixVibes, Mixx and Traktor Pro. Xone:K2 can even be used to control lights or VJ software – if it can receive MIDI data it can take commands from K2. The Xone:K2 offers three different mapping layers that can be activated by using the Layer button at the bottom of the controller. Each mapping layer has its own colour for the buttons and the encoder status indicator (green, red, amber), which.
Mapping for controlling all 4 decks of traktor in combination with an 4-channel external Mixer like a Xone:92 or DJM900. The switch matrix of the K2 has to be setup as latching layers: Red layer: play/pause, cue, sync, load track.
I'm not exactly sure yet how to route the audio since there are not many options, still have to hook it up to a setup & give it a shot. If any of you have a few ideas about this, feel free to drop it :)
I'm using the Rekordbox autogain-function (implemented in each deck) - Tempo is adjustable with the channel faders. RekordBox MIDI doesn't allow rotary-buttons to the gain or tempo. Maybe this will be an option in the future where there will be more MIDI-options at disposal.
